Four Seasons to offer volunteer training classes

Four Seasons, a local provider of end-of-life care services, will be offering its volunteer training classes to all those who would like to learn about, or enhance, care-giving skills. The information provided is useful in any setting, from homes to facilities. Attendance does not require a commitment to become a Four Seasons volunteer. A wide array of volunteer opportunities will be covered, and all areas of interest are welcome.


An orientation class (required for all volunteer positions) will be offered at the Highlands-Cashiers Hospital Campus (exact location TBD):

Orientation (for all volunteers)- Tuesday, May 17th 1:00-4:30

Patient Care Training – Wednesday, May 18th 9:00-4:00

Thursday, May 19th 9:00-4:00

FOUR SEASONS TO CELEBRATE LIFE WITH UPCOMING EVENT

Tickets are available now for the Four Seasons “Seasons of Life Soiree 2011,” which will be held Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 6:30 pm at the Asheville Hilton in Biltmore Park. The event is presented by Park Ridge Health, sponsored by Shuler Funeral Home, and sustained by many other local sponsors and individuals.

 

Tickets are $75 per person for an evening of fine food, auction, and entertainment by a local jazz trio. Complimentary wine will be provided by the Hilton at Biltmore Park. Event attendees will have the option to honor or memorialize a loved one through a special remembrance opportunity.

Some of the items included in the silent auction at the event are a chance to take home an adorable puppy from Blue Ridge Humane Society, a green amethyst necklace from Shelley’s in Hendersonville, a getaway weekend to Atlanta, several golf packages, art work, beautiful home and garden items, flowers by Blossom’s at Biltmore Park, and complimentary wine provided by the Hilton at Biltmore Park
