FOUR SEASONS –WNC BRANCH TO HOLD BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP IN HIGHLANDS

  • Grief support group begins April 15 and runs for 10 weeks.
  • It will meet from 4:30 PM – 6 PM at the Four Seasons WNC Branch office in Highlands at the Highlands/Cashiers Hospital, 171 Hospital Drive, Suite 600. The group is open to all those who have lost a loved one and would benefit from a grief support group.

• “Am I going crazy?” -- What feelings are normal during grief?

• What is grief, bereavement and mourning? How long does this last?

• Coping styles for grief and loss

• Common misconceptions about grief

• Helpful ways to remember or memorialize the person you have lost

• How do we find meaning in the midst of loss?

• What is the “Mourner’s Bill of Rights” and how does it apply to me?

• Taking care of ourselves

• Finding hope in the midst of loss
